Spring Teams 2025

  • Spring Team fee balances are due
  • IMPORTANT – if your son or daughter CAN NOT MAKE EITHER OF THE TOURNEY DATES, please communicate. April 26 and May 31.  AM to early afternoon.   It is OK to miss, these dates are secondary to what we emphasize; practice, reps, reps, reps, and then of course, reps!

Practice Schedules – Locations and Times

Fruitport HS. 357 N. 6th.  April 14/16 to June 2/4

  1. Middle School Boys. Mons + Weds.  600-730 PM
  2. High School Boys. Mons + Weds.  730-900 PM

Fremont Christian.  208 Hillcrest.  April 14/17 to June 2/5

  1. U12 Co-Ed. Mons + Thurs         430-630 PM
  2. MS + HS Girls. Mons + Thurs   600-800 PM
  3. NOTE: 30 minute SKILLS TRAINING 600-630 every Mon+Thurs.  U12’s stay or MS/HS Girls come early.  No need to register.   This is NOT mandatory but a great supplement to their training.
  4. Thurs April 17 Mindset Training in FREMONT.  600-715 PM.  Parents and coaches (ANY SPORT) encouraged to attend.  Please fill out your Mindset assessments.
  5. Three (3 dates) will be at Holton High School due to gym conflicts in Fremont.  Mons April 21, 28 and Thurs May 1.  Go to 6477 Syers Rd, Holton, MI 49425.  SAME TIMES!!  Enter around the back of the school between the football and softball fields.

Coopersville MS.  198 East Ave. April 15/16 to June 3/4

  1. Middle School Girls. Tues + Weds.  600-730 PM. (Bring a BALL)
  2. High School Girls. Tues + Weds.  730-900 PM.    (Bring a BALL)
  3. 198 East Ave brings you to the main campus.  The middle school is 1/3 of a mile EAST of the HS. There are signs.  

Ferrysburg  17520 Ridge Ave.   April 15/16 to June 3/4

  1. U12 Co-Ed.   Tues + Weds.  500-630 PM
  2. Skills Training Tues + Weds 630-730 PM.  No cost for Spring players.  No need to register.  Just stay
  3. NO GYM TUES May 6. (Election) – Gym is the polling place.

 Two (2) Basics run Saturday Tourneys, Fruitport HS and Basics Gym in Ferrysburg

If your son or daughter can NOT make either or both game dates, please communicate with Coach McGannon via e-mail to [email protected].    We will not know the exact game times until we know who is actually playing.  NOTE:  Younger players go 1st, High School players last. Estimated length of full day is 1000 AM to 300 PM, although each player will be in and out in 2 hours, 3 max..  These game dates are fun but not that high on Basics list of priorities.  It’s OK to miss.  We REALLY HOPE the players miss no practices.

Skills Clinics

  1. All Spring players may attend any skills sessions all spring at no extra cost.  All Skills sessions will be in Ferrysburg or Fremont.  20 player LIMIT.  REGISTER
  2. NEW – Saturday Strength, Agility and Conditioning OUTDOORS at Coast Guard Park with Coach Nathan!  Get ready.  For the players truly interested in pushing ahead!   Parents permitted but get ready.  Running the dunes is no easy task! REGISTER

 

Mindset Training.

  1. All spring players may attend as many Basics Mindset sessions as they want.  Parents have the assessment on their email, please insure the player has filled that out BEFORE they attend.
  2. Parents and coaches may attend at no cost to observe (ANY sport)
  3. Non-Basics players may attend, cost is $50.  Communicate with Coach McGannon (616) 402-1600 to have an assessment sent to these players.

Recent Mindset Result

Coach. Ellie is currently playing soccer in Costa Rica with the US Olympic Development Program. She was chosen as 1 of 18 players across the United States. I want to take a moment to thank you for the Basics Mindset program. Ellie has benefited from your program to put her in this position to not only captain her team but be one of the top scorers.
