Coach McGannon, our program looks forward to the mental strength training with you. Thank you.

I am varsity girl golf coach for Caledonia Community Schools.  Coach Scott Kruisenga (Rockford’s Varsity Girl Golf) described the mental strength training you provided his team.  He had nothing but wonderful things to say about the success you helped his team find this past year.  (RHS finished 5th in Class A state championship, their #1 player Jessica Jolly finished 3rd individually in the state: 72-75: 147).  I look forward to your training with our team!

Coach McGannon.  The girls finished 5th in the state championship and our # 1 player finished 3rd individually and was named to the Michigan Super Team.  She shot 64 after our initial meeting with you!!  Your training was instrumental in helping these players cope with the adversity and poor outcomes, thank you so much!!  The assessment really set the stage for them to address their weaknesses.  Our football team would like to set up a session as well.  Coach Scott Kruisenga  Rockford (MI) High School

Mental strength is an ability to handle failure and poor outcomes with little or no loss in competitive edge. Mental strength is a skill. Like any skill, it is built and sharpened through repetition. Mental strength applies to individuals, but also teams and programs.  When two teams of comparable skill play, the mentally tougher team will win almost every time.

Call or e-mail Coach McGannon to inquire.  This training will be as common as skills, agility and weight training in a few short years.  Give your program this advantage.

Below

Coach McGannon’s Dartmouth team mates and Coach Gary Walters at an Ivy League Hall of Fame induction ceremony at Princeton in March of 2023.  The disciplines of never being outworked coupled with always playing with poise and composure were drilled into us as players.  These are HALLMARKS of mental strength.   Summary page here

[/vc_message][vc_single_image image=”14894″ img_size=”large” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The team or program will take a mental strength assessment that measures their

  1. CONFIDENCE
  2. ABILITY TO HANDLE MISTAKES/FAILURE
  3. COMMITMENT/ATTITUDE

The assessments allow Coach McGannon to see the team/programs’ strengths and weaknesses.  The discussion then begins.  Topics of skill, condition, hard work, patience, self control, honesty, self image, frustration, caring too much about what others think, the critical role of each player’s “inner voice” and many other mental strength principles will be discussed.  At the end of the session, 4 key tools of mental strength used by many great athletes will be taught.

As the video below touches upon, this service leads to MORE WINS because players/teams/programs will not allow poor play, poor outcomes and mistakes to affect them for more than a split second.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/9B0dIXi6YAs” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
